How Long For Flagyl To Treat Trich

Tuning approach: Evo X Engine Tuning

Since my last entry about the potential of the Evo X Tuning last year, has done a lot in the scene and changed. There are many new products for the Evo X came on the market and tuner world have made their experiences and compiled tuning plans.

like this entry I both on the Tuning Plan of English Tuners Car Planet Racing (CPR) and on the other hand, to that of the famous Japanese tuner Garage G-Force (what is currently the fastest Time Attack Evo X in collaboration with developed Varis and Sunbeam has received). But before I go into the details, I would like to touch briefly on the image above. This fact shows the main components of a modern turbo engine as it is, for example, to find in an Evo. The selective substitution of these items with quality and well-designed tuning products allows the power output and torque improve significantly. The affected parts are:
  • manifold (exhaust manifold)
  • turbocharger and turbo-pressure valve (actuator)
  • intake pipe and air filter
  • air-flow meter (sensor and housing between the air filter and air intake pipe)
  • turbo outlet (also outlet pipe referred to, between down pipe and turbocharger, not shown in picture)
  • front-pipe (also called Down-pipe, between the turbo outlet and catalyst)
  • catalyst
  • exhaust system (from catalyst)
  • intercooler pipes (between turbocharger and intercooler, and between the intercooler and intake manifold)
  • charge air cooler (intercooler)
  • throttle (throttle-body)
  • intake manifold (intake manifold)
  • fuel rail (fuel rail, not shown)
  • fuel pressure regulator (fuel pressure regulator, not in picture)
  • fuel injectors (Fuel injectors, not shown)
  • fuel pump (fuel pump, not shown)
  • cylinder head (camshaft, springs, valves, dials, belts, etc.)
  • cylinder block (pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, bearings, screws, etc.)
  • control unit (controls fuel delivery, ignition timing, boost pressure, etc., not in picture)
  • boost solenoid (boost controller, is controlled by the controller, not shown)
  • more components (head gasket, lubrication, cooling, etc. )
The tuner must, depending on performance, respectively. Tuning stage by targeted analysis and data logging (extract the sensor data from the ECU) to recognize the weaknesses and replace the affected parts by stronger. Must, for example, when using a larger turbocharger, fuel pump and injectors and possibly the internal engine components such as cylinders, connecting rods, head gasket, etc. has grown. Such an analysis, the tuner CPR from England and made Garage G-Force from Japan and assembled according to a first tuning plan for the Evo X. to extract

To 380-400hp and 500 520 Nm from the Evo X uses CPR a complete exhaust system from turbo with a continuous tube diameter of 76mm. This system replaces the original catalyst completely, a 100-cell motor sports catalyst is optional. The petrol pump is replaced by a Walbro 255l / h , which can be for a capacity of up to 500HP used. On the intake side of the engine used the CPR AEM Cold Air Intake System which replaced next to the original air filter box and the air mass sensor housing and improves air intake significantly. The original controller is adapted to the new environment and is also used for boost control. To set the boost pressure to around 1.7bar but may be the original boost pressure solenoid with the CPR Boost Control Solenoid Kit rebuilt. For this level requires CPR converted about 3700 CHF, plus about 350CHF for the optional motor sports catalyst.

Garage G-Force uses a similar approach to performance improvement, however, built into their highest level for some products will result. On the intake side, a Colt Speed Ram Air system in combination with the flash Suction intake kit used. For cooler charge air and improved air flow ensures a complete HKS Type R intercooler including intercooler pipes in 70mm diameter. On the exhaust side used G-Force's own products: A 76mm Front-Pipe from the turbocharger, a metal catalyst and a titanium exhaust system ensure a diameter of 80mm for pressure-free Abgasströmmung.

The electronic boost controller HKS EVC V replaced the original Boost pressure solenoid and controlled via the supplied equipment (To see in the picture above) independently of the ECU of the vehicle boost pressure. With the additional use of Poncam Tomei Type-R camshafts promises G-Force, depending on setting a performance improvement of 130-160hp from the factory performance. For this level including installation and adjustment charged G-Force 15'000CHF whole. This horrendously high amount can be explained by the very expensive products - the Type R Intercooler of HKS alone costs about 2800 CHF - and explain the additional work.
