In the picture above the Toda 2350KIT be seen. This increases the engine capacity to 2354cc, respectively. 2381cc and increased the compression to 12.1. A variant with a compression of 13.0 is also available. The offer hears However, far from here on. Toda stroker kit also offers other variants, such as a 2200KIT (also available for turbo applications) or even a 2400KIT.
Toda also offers several variations on the camshaft. Probably the best choice for the road, the A2 camshafts timing of IN EX 295/13.0mm 290/12.0mm. The variants B and C are a bit too aggressive for a mainly driven on the street car I would say now. The valve springs must, however, because the stroke of 12 mm, respectively. 13mm for all variants are used concomitantly.
Individual improve throttle response and allow the engine greatly enlarged the most of the displacement and the camshaft extract.
A professional review of the cylinder head is at this stage of tuning highly recommended. Also, it is almost compulsory in all these coarser modifications to the engine, a freely programmable control device used, such as from or from Hondata HKS (Fcon V Pro). By a far-reaching and individual vote, the maximum performance can bring out.
Here, again the question: How much power is extract using these expensive products? Here are two examples of well-known Japanese S2000:
- Arvou S2000 (pictured above): 2.2l Kit Toda, 2182cc engine capacity, compression 12.25, Toda individual throttle bodies, other Prdukte Toda, performance with 300PS 7800rpm, 6332rpm at 28.6kgm.
- Tracy Sports S2000: Tracy Sports kit 2.3l, 2256cc engine capacity, compression 12.5, A2 Toda camshafts, individual throttle Tracy Sports, HKS Fcon V Pro ECU, power 298PS at 8500rpm and at 6000rpm 28.6kgm.
It looks very much as if the 300 hp limit the F20C. The ASM Autobacs S2000 Time Attack is also making some 305PS with the Toda 2400KIT and 2405cc displacement. It is very surprising that a naturally aspirated 2.3l 2.2l respectively afford 280-300hp can and still as reliable and suitable for everyday use! I wish Honda would make a 3.0l VTEC series of six à la build E36 M3 F20C technology. That would be the perfect engine for a new edition of the S2000.
